Adopt-A-School Program
One of our duties to the community is to aid and support the public school system. Hence, Maguindanao Masonic Lodge No. 40, in partnership with the Department of Education adopted the Mangalay Elementary School as the beneficiary of this program. The school is an urban public Elementary school located at Barangay Mangalay, Dansolihon, Cagayan De Oro City which consist of six (6) classrooms handling around 160 pupils from Grades 1-6.
This program is intended to extend our hands towards educational development by partnering with the government in education to aid in the areas of infrastructure, health and nutrition, teaching skills development, computer and science lab equipment, support and upgrading and modernization of facilities among others.
The Adopt-A-School Program of the Lodge started in the middle of Masonic Year 2016 under the stewardship of the late Worshipful Brother Samuel O. Cunanan which was co-chaired by Bro. Rex Atamosa and Bro. Richelle Gamayon. Today, the program still continues to provide the needs of the school, particularly the pupils and conducts a regular feeding program and other worthwhile endeavors.
